A downloadable GUI

This is a simple modification to the standard Ren'Py GUI that was made to suit a vertical game for Android. I'm not a coder so it's pretty messy i'm sure, but I made it as a base for personal use and chose to share it for anyone who wants to start out with something for a vertical game. The load and save screens have no screenshots as I felt it was too cluttered, and the main menu and game menu are seperated.


Free to use and modify without attribution for personal and commercial use.

Install instructions

  • Files:
    • gui (folder)
    • gui.rpy
    • options.rpy
    • screens.rpy
  • When you create your new project, choose a custom screen resolution of 1080 width and 1920 height.
  • Replace the files in your project with these files.
  • It won't work properly in the regular launcher, so make sure you launch the project from the Android -> Phone.

  • Make sure to use the Android distribution build when you're done!

One quick question does your template allows exporting to PC or the launch issue also affects that?
